While Hannah Ferguson made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2014, she returned to the fold each year through 2017. Throughout her time with the brand, the 31-year-old Texas native first traveled to St. Lucia for a bodypaint feature with photographer Walter Iooss Jr. and makeup artist Joanne Gair.

The next year, Ferguson’s work with the magazine took her along Route 66 with visual artist Ben Morris. In 2016, she was photographed by James Macari in Turks and Caicos, while her most recent SI Swimsuit feature took place in Fiji with Yu Tsai.

While speaking with Fox News in 2018, Ferguson noted that working in the modeling industry requires having a thick skin.

“You’re constantly being judged about your appearance, your personality,” she told the outlet. “For women especially, it’s something that can wear you down. It can certainly be challenging mentally. I think it’s really important to be able to decide how much you’re going to listen to that person. You just have to be the best version of yourself and know that there’s always going to be clients that like you and don’t like you. And if they don’t like you, that’s fine. … And things always change. One client could like you this year and then the next they’re looking for something completely different. You can’t take things too personally.”

Ferguson absolutely blew us away each and every time she stepped on the SI Swimsuit set. Below are just a few of our favorite pics from her feature in Turks and Caicos, including an incredible look in which she modeled a cowrie shell-adorned bikini by Heidi Fish.
