Jasmine Sanders is Back for SI Swimsuit 2021

Returning 2019 cover girl stuns on the beaches of Tampa

Jasmine Sanders has managed to dominate the fashion world from every angle possible. She’s graced the pages of Vogue, walked the runway for Miu Miu and Tommy Hilfiger, fronted large-scale national campaigns for brands like Ralph Lauren, and made her mark on SI Swimsuit since being named Rookie of the Year in 2019. Additionally, the German-American has gained a role as a special correspondent for Extra TV’s fashion and social media segments and is the muse of renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath. Of course, it doesn’t stop there for the model known as Golden Barbie on social media. The 29-year-old has worked with Tommy Hilfiger to hand-design T-shirts for charity and is a spokesperson for Cantu Beauty, often hosting live tutorials inspiring others to embrace their natural, curly hair. Did we mention she also has some pretty stellar home-design skills? When it comes to fashion, Sanders means business.

MJ Day: Why Jasmine?

Jasmine possesses the core values that SI Swimsuit represents. There are endless wonderful things to say about her, but in my opinion, the most beautiful virtue she possesses is how she makes a special and genuine connection with everyone she encounters. This industry carries some very heavy history of being cutthroat and catty; Jasmine’s presence resets that energy in a way that prioritizes community over competitiveness. Lifting others up around her is instinctual. When she first found out about her SI Swimsuit cover last year, her first reaction was to compliment the other two women with whom she shared the image. She is a selfless individual who has fought incredibly hard to get to where she is today and has never forgotten or neglected anyone who has helped her along the way. She shows up on set ready to work hard, nails every shot and still displays a true humbleness that is such a rarity. We are thrilled to have Jasmine return for the 2021 issue and be a part of our family.
