French supermodel Jessica Aidi came to the set of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit in 2019 as a part of the annual SI Swim Search, the brand’s open casting call. Alongside a handful of other first-time SI Swim models, she made her brand debut on Paradise Island, Bahamas with photographer Yu Tsai.

Unsurprisingly, the series of photos that resulted from the photo shoot were just as fabulous as the location itself—which, to its credit, was a beautiful white sand beach destination. Four years on, we’re still not over Aidi’s skill in front of the lens.

It was an experience that she wasn’t soon over, either. She expressed as much in an Instagram post that she shared following the launch party for the annual issue. “I’m still not over this wk ahaha @si_swimsuit,” she wrote in the caption at the time. “I can’t thank you enough from bringing me there and sharing your philosophy of life, beauty and powerful business !”

The debut meant a lot to her. “Becoming a #SISwimSearch has tremendously impacted my life from fun moments like watching seals dance to the humbling moments of being a part of a meaningful charity that bought awareness to significant issues,” she said of joining the SI Swim family. “Since the competition began I’ve met so many beautiful, intelligent and powerful woman who have truly inspired me to unapologetically be myself.”

As we said before, she totally impressed us on the set of her photo shoot. Here are a few of the brilliant snaps that she posed for in the Bahamas.
