Julie Ordon Shows Impressive Skill and Nerve in These Thrilling Bikini Snaps From India

The Swiss model wowed us on the set of her 2010 feature.
Julie Ordon

Julie Ordon was photographed by Riccardo Tinelli in Rajasthan, India.

Swiss model Julie Ordon was featured in the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2010. The Geneva native was living and working as a model in New York at the time that she accepted the invitation to travel to Rajasthan, India with photographer Riccardo Tinelli and the rest of the SI Swimsuit team.

The call-up came just six weeks after the model had given birth to her daughter, Mathilda, an impressive feat for the talented now 39-year-old. But the experience was, in many ways, a dream come true for her, and she thus felt compelled to make the trip.

“Sports Illustrated is one of those jobs that is like your dream job,” she said of the gig. “It [was] one of my goals. And finally to do it is so great.”

And make the most of it, she did. In addition to posing for some striking and vibrant photos in and around a pool in the idyllic location, the model was brave enough to take a series of photos with a large black snake wrapped around her neck. Needless to say, we admire her bravery and her willingness to lean into the experience to achieve the perfect snap.

But the snake photos were only a fraction of the incredible pics that resulted from her trip to India. While they were all more than stunning, we’ve handpicked a few of our favorites. Check them out below.
