While we assumed an A-lister like Kate Hudson would always have a team of glam gurus around her, it turns out the actress is just like us: she occasionally puts her makeup on while sitting on the floor in her underwear.

The Almost Famous actress shared a trio of Instagram pics on Dec. 4, in which she sat on a rug in front of her vanity amid a pile of beauty products (many of which were stored in plastic Ziploc bags) clad in lingerie. In the first, Hudson perched an eyeshadow palette on her bare thigh while she held another in one hand. The 44-year-old mom of three was then captured from above as she grinned for the camera. In the last snap, she looked straight ahead into the lens.

“Manic Makeup Monday 💄,” Hudson quipped in her caption. While many of the Academy Award nominee’s 17.8 million followers piped in to the comments to appraise her makeup collection, others noted her lacy red slip by HAH.

“How to lose a gloss in 10 days 👀,” the official Sephora IG account wrote, referencing Hudson’s 2003 rom-com, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

“🔥 Femme fatale! You look stunning in red ❤️,” a fan observed.

“Suddenly i'm feeling not so alone with all the makeup I have to organize 😂,” someone else joked of their own collection.

“The irony of this is that you’re not wearing that much makeup, and you STILL look gorgeous,” another person noted of Hudson’s fresh face.
