Katherine Heigl brought red, the color of 2023, into the new year and stunned in her strapless satin gown and the Emmy Awards on Sunday night. The 45-year-old TV star returned to the event for the first time in 10 years and reunited on stage with her Grey’s Anatomy costars at the Jan. 15 event.

The 27 Dresses actress, whose latest role is in Netflix’s Firefly Lane, donned a beautiful mermaid silhouette number by Reem Acra. She accessorized with a statement bedazzled pin at her cinched waist, sparkly Louboutin heels and a matching red lip.

Our favorite part of the glamorous look, however, were the understated yet eye-catching Rahaminov diamonds around her neck.

“This is the first time I’ve gotten to dress up like this in years,” the Washington, D.C. native, who now lives in Utah with her husband Charles Kelley, told Fox News. “It’s really fun.”

The Life as We Know It star won an Emmy award for outstanding supporting actress in a drama series in 2007, for her role as Izzie Stevens on ABC’s hit medical series that is set to release its 20th season in March.
