Lindsey Vonn Dons Bright Red Bikini for a Day on the Water

The athlete traded in her NYFW best for a swimsuit and the last bit of summertime weather.

Lindsey Vonn left New York Fashion Week and, in classic fashion, immediately headed outdoors for an afternoon of activity and water sports. Though still recovering from a knee surgery that she underwent in July, the former professional alpine skier has been just as active as ever in recent weeks and months.

Vonn shared a series of photos to her Instagram on Sept. 20 from her latest outdoor adventure. She donned a fiery red triangle bikini for an afternoon of wakesurfing. In the post, she posed with her Red Bull-branded wakesurf board in hand and smiled into the distance.

“What started off as a great day ended in a giant jellyfish 🪼 sting/bite…,” she revealed in the caption of the post that she shared with her 2.2 million followers.

“I literally rode over it as I was getting up on the wake surf board 🤦🏼‍♀️ thanks to everyone who gave advice on remedies,” she continued. Think it’s gonna leave a mark for a while … 🤕 at least I caught some waves before!”

The rest of the carousel included a photo of Vonn surfing the waves from the boat as well as some close-up pics of her jellyfish sting. With now another injury to tend to in addition to her healing knee, it’s unclear whether we’ll see the 38-year-old partaking in other outdoor sports anytime soon. But with her track record, we’re sure it won’t be too long before she’s out adventuring again.
