A holiday morning carving session was in order for the former pro skier.

It comes as no surprise to us that Lindsey Vonn found herself out on the slopes on Christmas morning. The Olympic athlete began her ski season just a few weeks ago, but has already strapped on her gear way more than the average person within the past few weeks alone.

Sun, snow and skiing could not have been a better combination for the gold medalist’s holiday morning. She set out in a pair of black fitted ski pants, a chic metallic blue snow jacket and a deep blue helmet, flaunting her skills all the way down the slopes.

“Christmas Day skiing was 🔥😍🙌🏻,” she wrote in the caption of her Instagram recap of the carving session. “We got up early and beat the crowds for a couple of nice groomer runs! Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday 🎄🙏🏻.”

“a great way to celebrate 🎁🎄,” the official Red Bull IG account commented.

“Wish I could ski like that,” a follower complimented Vonn’s incredible skills.

“I’m going to need a lesson soon,” one of her friends wrote. We second that—we wouldn’t mind a tutorial from the legend ourselves.

Though injury ended the 39-year-old’s professional career back in 2019 and has plagued her in the years since (she underwent another knee surgery as recently as this summer), Vonn can still hit the slopes and show her skill with apparent ease. With months of ski season ahead, we’re sure that her Instagram following hasn’t seen the last of her on the slopes yet.
