Slovak model Lucia Dvorska appeared in the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2009 after traveling to Cappadocia, Turkey, where she posed for photographer Yu Tsai.

In addition to her feature in the annual issue, the 35-year-old has worked with a number of other notable brands, and has even been featured on the cover of several publications. Dvorska has modeled for Bangle, walked the runway for Brazilian fashion designer Patricia Viera, and was on the cover of Vogue Brazil two years before her SI Swimsuit debut.

“I don’t have any story that somebody found me on the street,” Dvorska admitted while on location of her career trajectory. “I just came to an agency, knocked on the door, [asked] ‘Can I be a model?’ [they responded] ‘Yeah, sure!’ and then I started to travel and model until now and I love it.”

While in Turkey, Dvorska modeled a number of bright and colorful swimwear looks, from stringy bikini bottoms to matching patterned two-piece sets. Her photoshoot took place within the cityscape, so it was a bit of a departure from typical SI Swimsuit features that are photographed right on the beach.

Regardless, the model nailed each of her looks, and the timeless nature of each picture makes it hard to believe this feature took place 14 years ago. Below are a few of our favorites from Dvorska’s SI Swimsuit photoshoot in Turkey.
