Nina Agdal invited SwimDaily to her Manhattan apartment last week to get a glimpse of her life at home and away from the madness. Nina spoke candidly about the challenges of leaving her home in Denmark to pursue a modeling career as well as her idea of the perfect date. Here are some of the highlights.

On her ideal weekend:"My ideal Friday and Saturday evening would be ... Friday to go out and have dinner with my girlfriends. Saturday night I would stay in. I would have somebody cook for me out there because I do not cook very well. I make egg whites ... that's about it. And I would go to bed early and have a good Sunday."

On her move to America:"I moved from Denmark to America. I left my family, I left my school. I left my friends. and it was basically to pursue my career and I didn't know if it was going to work out. so that was very scary to leave everything and just put everything into a whole new thing where you don't know if you're going to make it or not. But I think I'm doing good."

On her rise to fame:"Two words to describe the last two years: scary and amazing. It's been two crazy years. so much has happened with me and my career. I feel like a whole new person."
