Olivia Culpo’s Trip Down Under Featured Daring Photos and Vibrant Bikinis
When you think of American model Olivia Culpo and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, your mind might automatically go to her iconic 2020 cover photoshoot alongside Kate Bock and Jasmine Sanders in Bali. And while that was an absolutely incredible feature, it was by no means the 31-year-old’s first experience with the issue—and her other appearances were just as noteworthy in our book.
The former Miss USA and Miss Universe first joined the SI Swim team in 2018 for her rookie feature in a Brooklyn Studio. The appearance earned her another spot on the pages of the issue in 2019. That year, she traveled with photographer Josie Clough and the rest of the team to Kangaroo Island, South Australia for her sophomore photoshoot.
The experience asked a lot of the talented model—including posing with a very large, though non-venomous snake—and, of course, she delivered and more. Culpo posed on the white sand beaches and in the crystal blue waters of the tropical location in a series of colorful bikini and patterned one-pieces. And, needless to say, she made a splash.
It was a fantastic feature, and one that she only built upon when she took her talents in front of the camera to the set of her cover photoshoot in Bali. Her most recent feature took place in Hollywood, Florida in 2021.
While each was terrific in its own way, today we’re taking a look back at her trip Down Under—and admiring the incredible photos that resulted. Here are a few of our favorites.
