Olivia Dunne Shares Gymnastics Montage Featuring a Sweet Clip of Her Young Self on the Uneven Bars

The LSU gymnast is taking time to reflect on her career as her senior year commences.

With the school year ramping back up, Olivia Dunne has returned to the LSU Tigers gym for her senior season, and the increased practice time seems to be making the 20-year-old a bit sentimental. In addition to her typical updates throughout the gymnastics season—both behind the scenes and in terms of competition content—the star recently posted some throwbacks to her days before becoming a Tiger.

She shared a TikTok with her 7.8 million followers on Sept. 7, featuring a sweet clip of a much younger Dunne in a purple leotard finishing her routine on the uneven bars. The throwback clip then transitioned into a more recent cut from one of her uneven bars routines as an LSU Tiger, wearing a likewise purple leotard. She finished her routines in both clips with a characteristic smile on her face, and turned to embrace her teammates.

She set the short video to the tune of the Harry Styles song, “Fine Line,” writing pieces of the lyrics on the two different clips themselves.

The sentimental post made us likewise nostalgic, and had the added affect of getting us excited for Dunne’s season ahead. The icon has already made a name for herself in the gym and beyond, becoming the highest-paid female college athlete under NIL.

The college athlete will be back competing with her team soon and bringing her characteristic good energy to the locker room and gym—and we’ll be here to cheer her on.
