Olympic Gold Medalist Hannah Teter’s 5 Best Bikini Photos From SI Swim
Hannah Teter posed for the 2010 SI Swimsuit Issue in Whistler, Canada, where she modeled in front of Warwick Saint’s lens in a mixture of aesthetics. The professional snowboarder donned her traditional sporty gear, while she also incorporated several red-and-white bikinis among her snow pants, parkas and boots.
Teter, a 36-year-old native of Vermont, first competed in the Winter Olympics in Turin in 2006, where she won a gold medal at the halfpipe event. She also participated in the Vancouver Olympic Games the same year she posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue. That time, Teter took home a silver medal in her event. She last competed in the Olympics in Sochi in 2014, but did not earn a medal. In addition to her Olympic success, Teter is a seven-time X Games medalist and World Cup champion.
While the athlete perhaps never thought about posing for the SI Swimsuit Issue before the opportunity came knocking, Teter certainly nailed all of her poses. While on set, she revealed that while the photoshoot put her outside of her comfort zone, it was a great experience overall.
“Growing up in Vermont in the middle of the woods, I just never ever dreamed about being in Sports Illustrated and doing just bathing suit stuff and half-nude stuff and just like being risqué,” she said at the time.
Today, Teter regularly shares snowboarding content with her 296,000 Instagram followers, and is also a big fan of water sports. Below, we’re throwing it back to a few of our favorite snapshots from her SI Swimsuit feature.
Now through Nov. 1, 100% of SI Swimsuit’s portion of proceeds from cover prints purchased here will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund, which is helping to support the people and places of Maui affected by the recent wildfires.
