Tennis influencer and content creator Rachel Stuhlmann has officially declared herself a pickleball fan. Everyone from Paige Spiranac to Penny Lane is an enthusiast of the trendy racket sport, and on Feb. 19, Stuhlmann took to Instagram to share her own love of the game.

The USPTA certified professional tennis coach donned a fiery red athleisure set for the occasion, including a one-shouldered sports bra and matching shorts. In her caption, she provided a few responses to questions she noted she gets asked frequently regarding pickleball.

“I love how the sport brings communities together in a positive, healthy, and social way😍,” she wrote. “ ... I love how it gives former professional and college tennis players another opportunity to shine on tour.”

Stuhlmann also stated that pickleball and tennis can “thrive” simultaneously, and that the “skillsets from tennis transfer over to pickleball nearly seamlessly.”

Plenty of the St. Louis native’s 316,000 followers chimed in to the comments section with their own thoughts on the racket sport.

“Ball is life. The world is big enough for both sports 🙌,” Justin Visser wrote. “Keen to give pickleball more of a go!”

“Never tried Pickleball,” one follower admitted. “Maybe I should try it.”

When we chatted with Stuhlmann last fall, she noted that her main objective with her platform is to draw more attention to the sport of tennis.

“My goal in tennis has always been to make the sport more mainstream, relatable and accessible,” she said. “I want to bring attention to this sport in a positive way, draw people to the sport and get people excited about it.”
