Sailor Brinkley Cook Doesn’t Want Birthday Wishes From Her Fans

This SI Swimsuit model is urging fans to donate to charity for her birthday

Sailor Brinkley Cook turns 22 this Thursday and is encouraging her fans to hold off on the birthday wishes. Instead, she asks that they donate to the Loveland Foundation, a organization that provides financial support to Black women and young girls to help defray the cost of mental health therapy.

The foundation was established back in 2018 by activist Rachel Cargle, who also encouraged her community on social media to raise money in lieu of birthday celebrations.

“Therapy has personally helped me overcome and live with my anxiety and depression, and I believe everyone should have the ability and chance to thrive no matter what,” posted Sailor. “It would mean the world to me if you guys would give this gift for me!”

Within minutes of posting, her fans had already started donating. Sailor shared messages from her followers with screenshots of their donations. “I’ve already been sent so many screenshots of your donations and it’s not even my birthday yet!” she wrote Tuesday night.
