Samantha Hoopes was photographed by Josie Clough in Nevis.

When Samantha Hoopes first posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2014, she traveled to St. Lucia for a breathtaking bodypaint feature as well as a beachside photo shoot. Throughout her seven years with the brand, the 32-year-old Pennsylvania native been all over the world with the magazine, heading to tropical locales like Nevis, Kangaroo Island, Australia, Scrub Island, British Virgin Islands and more.

In addition to her work with SI Swimsuit, Hoopes has also worked with notable brands like GUESS and Levi’s.

Today, we’re throwing it back to the model and mom’s stunning SI Swimsuit magazine feature in Nevis. While on location in the Caribbean, Hoopes donned several bright and beautiful bikinis, though there’s always one in particular that comes to mind from this photo shoot: an itty-bitty two-piece by beijobaby that Hoopes described as resembling a “friendship bracelet.”

“I’ve had a lot of interesting suits this season,” she said while on set. “The one that sticks out to me the most in my head is the suit that we are referring to as a ‘friendship bracelet.’ I think this is actually a friendship bracelet that we decided was going to be my new suit.”

All jokes aside, Hoopes absolutely nailed her photo shoot, and her time with photographer Josie Clough resulted in some truly jaw-dropping images. We’ve compiled just a few of our favorites, below, that prove that yellow (with accents of orange or black) really is the model’s most flattering color.
