RUNNING OUTSIDE around NYC is my favorite way to exercise. If you're in the area and want a challenge run the Williamsburg bridge. I love it because it's close to my apartment, but the ramps on the bridge provide natural intervals. Other good runs are by the water along the West Side Highway or the FDR. It's so pretty and relaxing to be outside, but the best part is the bargain, being completely free and all.

Whenever going for a run I lace up my Nike Free Run's. They are the most comfortable shoe I've tried, and great for long runs. They come in so many colors and you can even customize your own pair to match your personal taste.

Also this little handy gadget by Nike tracks your steps, counts the calories you burn, and motivates you to get running and reach your goals. While the price is a little steep at $149, the Nike+ Fuelband SE is a great tool to keep you motivated.
