Snowboarder Clair Bidez Rocked Printed Bikinis on the Slopes

When Clair Bidez posed for the 2010 SI Swimsuit Issue, she was on familiar territory. Rather than hitting the beach, as most brand photoshoots tend to, the former professional snowboarder was in her element in Whistler, Canada, where she posed for photographer Warwick Saint on the slopes.

And while the Colorado native was on track to compete in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver that year, she was unfortunately forced to retire instead due to a persistent ankle injury. Prior to hanging up her snowboard professionally, though, Bidez competed in both the U.S. Open Snowboarding Championships and the Winter X Games.

Bidez modeled several bright and beautiful looks while on location with the SI Swimsuit team in Canada, and many of her red-and-white bikinis featured bold patterns and fun prints. The same year she was featured in the fold, the magazine also included several other athletes alongside her. Freestyle skier Lacy Schnoor, snowboarder Hannah Teter and skier Lindsey Vonn were also photographed in the snowy location.

While Bidez used to keep her Instagram followers up-to-date with her latest adventures, the retired athlete has not been active on the platform for several years.

Today, we’re reflecting on a few of our favorite moments from Bidez’s photoshoot in Whistler, Canada, in which Saint captured the athlete in her natural element on the snow-covered slopes. The sweet red heart-adorned bikini and floral patterned two-piece have got to be our absolute favorites from the bunch.
