Swim Search Finalist Erin Willerton Glistens in These 4 Photos From the Bahamas

She earned her 2019 feature as a part of the second annual open casting call.

Among the six Swim Search finalists who appeared in the 2019 SI Swimsuit Issue was British university student Erin Willerton. Her feature brought her to the vibrant blue waters and white sand beaches of Paradise Island, Bahamas, where she posed for a series of stunning photos in front photographer Yu Tsai’s lens.

Back home in England, she had just completed her dissertation and earned her degree in philosophy, but on the beaches of the Caribbean island, she was a model. It was an experience that impacted Willerton in significant way, she shared with the team.

In addition to bringing career opportunities, her open casting call experience was a healing one, according to Willerton. “I feel as though I have really found what makes me happy and ignited a confidence that I had lost somewhere in my teen years,” she explained.

Additionally, it was a lesson in pursuing your goals. Willerton found out about the open casting call through Instagram, and, despite knowing it was a big risk, she chose to go after it. “For me, it just shows that any woman from any place or background can achieve anything if they just put themselves out there,” she said.

The experience was a positive one for the model. Given her bubbly personality and inner and outer beauty, the resulting photos were just as incredible as we had expected. Here are just a few of the fabulous snaps that she posed for in the Bahamas.
