When it comes to the 100-meter hurdles on the track, Michelle Jenneke is an absolute natural. Modeling, on the other hand, is a less familiar passion for the Australian Youth Olympic Games silver medalist. But it came easily to her when she joined photographer James Macari in Las Vegas for her 2013 SI Swim debut.

The professional athlete brought a lot of fun and energy to the set, even taking the chance to show off the signature dance move that gained her internet acclaim after she displayed it on the track.

“MJ has made it no secret that she’s a huge fan of me and my dance,” she joked on set. “I said that if her and James [Macari] the photographer did it with me then I would do it.”

After the trio danced together, Macari also used Jenneke’s move as inspiration for some of the photos, leaning into her playful attitude.

When it came to the shots, she was enamored with her swimsuit options, gushing that there were “so many that I’d love to take home with me,” she said. But the picks for her outfits were on point and the track star shined in some flattering two-pieces. And Jenneke was in utter awe of the final product.

“I look at the pictures and I [think] wow is that really me?” she expressed.
