We’re Reminiscing on These 7 Gorgeous Photos from Nina Agdal’s Debut SI Swim Appearance

This BTS video of the SI Swim icon reminded us of the model’s stunning debut in Seychelles.

Nina Agdal was photographed by James Macari in Desroches Island, Seychelles.

Here at Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, we absolutely love our talent, both past and present. And that means we absolutely love reminiscing on special moments and photoshoots with our models from years past.

In that vein, the official SI Swimsuit TikTok account shared a sweet throwback clip of Danish model Nina Agdal laughing on the set of her 2012 SI Swim photoshoot in Desroches Island, Seychelles

The 31-year-old made her debut for the issue that year in Seychelles, which she followed up with a photoshoot in each of the five years following. The model even landed the coveted cover spot with photos from her 2014 shoot in the Cook Islands alongside fellow models Chrissy Teigen and Lily Aldridge.

“SI Swimsuit loves Nina Agdal #ninaagdal,” the SI Swim account captioned the BTS video of the seasoned model laughing on set with photographer James Macari.

In the clip, the model sported a fabulous vibrant yellow crocheted bikini top, which she paired with a matching bright orange and yellow crocheted bikini bottom. The rest of Agdal’s looks on set in the East African country were likewise bright and vibrant, matching the verdant green backdrop that she posed in front of.

In light of the sweet clip, we have been reminiscing on the model’s time with the annual Swimsuit issue, and particularly, on her shoot in Seychelles. Below are seven of our favorite photos of the Danish beauty from her debut shoot.
