Canadian model Zoe Duchesne made her way into the pages of the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2010, traveling to the Atacama Desert, Chile with photographer Raphael Mazzucco.

She journeyed to the unique location to pose for a series of absolutely stunning photos in front of the idyllic backdrop. “[It’s] a beautiful day as you can see,” she remarked on the set of her photoshoot. “We’re in the middle of the desert. San Pedro, is that it? They dropped me here, I have no idea,” she joked of the beautiful, remote location.

Wearing a series of metallic and vibrant bikinis, the model stood out against the deep red of the desert dirt and rocks. It was an exciting experience for the now 42-year-old, who hails from Montreal, Canada, and another entry on her ever-growing résumé—on which modeling is simply one of her many talents.

In addition to the other modeling gigs that she has booked over the years, Duchesne is also known for her acting roles in a handful of French films, as well as her growing comedy career, which she has a habit of posting about on her Instagram. And while we’re in full support of all of her professional endeavors, we think our favorite will always be her trip to Chile with the SI Swimsuit team. It was, after all, an incredible experience, and we have the photos to prove it.

Below are some of her glamorous pics from the day.
