Haley Kalil has worked with Maybelline, Skechers, Tommy Hilfiger and more, but her educational accomplishments are equally brag-worthy. The Minnesota native, who made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2018 after taking part in the franchise’s first-ever casting call, SI Swim Search, graduated summa cum laude from St. Cloud State University with a 4.0 in biomedical sciences and psychology with a minor in chemistry. She has published award-winning immunological research and worked with numerous local science programs to encourage young women into the STEM fields. And did we mention the volunteer work? In her free time, she volunteers at Operation Christmas Child and Feed My Starving Children. Haley is the definition of brains and beauty.
MJ Day: Why Haley?
Haley possesses the most contagious energy and enthusiasm. She has been an incredible asset to SI Swimsuit on every level (beginning with winning 2018’s Swim Search), specifically when it comes to encouraging women to embrace who they are. Haley has positioned herself as a beauty with brains advocate. She unabashedly encourages women to be equally enthusiastic about academia and science while feeling beautiful and sexy at the same time. Haley created #NerdHerd, a social media movement for women to showcase the multidimensional nature of womanhood, simultaneously embracing one’s body and one’s mind while still demanding respect. This is a critical initiative for women and a story that we are proud and passionate to support.
