Leyna Bloom Brings Spacecore to Dominica: Shop the Looks From Her 2023 SI Swimsuit Photoshoot
Leyna Bloom is out of this world. The actress, activist, dancer and professionally trained hairstylist made history when she landed the 2021 SI Swimsuit Issue cover as a rookie after her photoshoot with Yu Tsai in Tampa, Fla. She became the first transgender woman to be featured on the front of the magazine.
The Chicago native returned to the fold the following year and was photographed by Yu Tsai in Belize. Bloom traveled to Dominica and worked with Amanda Pratt for her appearance in the 2023 issue.
“I felt so connected to Amanda. She is literally God-sent—the most amazing energy, we just vibed right away,” Bloom recalled. “It wasn’t a [typical] shoot. It felt like a bunch of girls taking beautiful photos together.”
The photoshoot was inspired by extraterrestrial aesthetics and each of the Port Authority star’s looks featured unique materials and flattering cuts to create a playful, eclectic and glamorous energy. Shop four of our favorite Spacecore looks from Bloom’s most recent SI Swimsuit feature below.
