5 Not-to-be-Missed Photos of ‘Confidence Queen’ Achieng Agutu in Mexico

The social media influencer made an impression during her 2024 SI Swimsuit debut.

For months now, we’ve had the pleasure of working with Achieng Agutu, the self-described “tantalizing confidence queen,” who has built a social media following out of her approach to self-assurance. She submitted an application to the 2023 Swim Search and came out of the process a co-winner and a 2024 rookie.

As such, she recently traveled to Cancun, Mexico, with the SI Swimsuit team to make her official brand debut. It was an exciting opportunity for the Kenya native.

“Being a rookie feels iconic, it feels legendary, it feels fabulous, it feels delicious,” she says of the experience, putting her characteristic bubbly personality on display. It was a day that she couldn’t help but describe, again and again, as “delicious.”

“It was such a delicious day. Everything was amazing. I looked great, I felt great,” Agutu says of the experience. “I can’t wait for y’all to see me in the pages of the 60th [anniversary] issue of SI Swimsuit.”

Agutu is the undeniable queen of confidence. In fact, she attributes her own success to her self-assurance. Likewise, she wants others to find confidence and pride in who they are.

“Don’t let your body stop you from living your best life, O.K.?” she urged on the set of her 2024 photo shoot. “Honey, if you’ve got that stomach, embrace it. If you’ve got those stretch marks, embrace it. Live your best life, honey.”

That’s exactly what Agutu has done, and it’s part of what made her SI Swimsuit debut such a success. She brought her good energy and left us with some incredible photos. Here are five of those very impressive pics from her trip to Mexico.
