After her historic 2021 SI Swimsuit Issue cover in which she was the first transgender woman to land on the front of the annual magazine, Leyna Bloom returns to the publication for her third consecutive year. She was photographed in Dominica by Amanda Pratt for the ’23 SI Swimsuit Issue.

Bloom shared a gorgeous image from her full gallery as a teaser on Instagram on Monday. The model and actress was captured from behind in a strappy black-and-gold swimsuit by Norma Kamali as she held on to her lush green surroundings.

“Today marks 3 strong seasons with @si_swimsuit I’m so honored to come back a 3rd time. To represent my community and powerful feminine energy like mines worldwide,” Bloom wrote in her caption, adding that she felt lucky to return to the magazine for her third feature.

“This is by far my favorite experience so far,” Bloom also noted. “I love being in Dominica being received by my people in such a beautiful environment in this rotation of black love, it really brings so much happiness to my soul and to my people.”
