Kate Bock is the definition of an SI Swimsuit stalwart. The Canadian model, who made her debut with the brand in Easter Island, Chile, in 2013, returned to the fold for a total of 10 consecutive issues.

The 35-year-old model has traveled to tons of exotic locations over her decade with the magazine, including Switzerland, Malta, MexicoNevis, Costa Rica and Belize. The mom of one, who welcomed her baby girl with husband Kevin Love in June, landed on the cover of the 2020 issue, after being photographed alongside fellow models Olivia Culpo and Jasmine Sanders in Bali.

“I remember going into my meeting with MJ [Day, editor in chief] and I remember being surprised that I never had to take my clothes off [or] get into a bathing suit. I never had to show my body, which was always something that was like [normal]. When you go to a casting you had to shoot in a bra and underwear. That’s what we had to do all the time—undress in front of these [strangers] and you were like, ‘O.K., yeah, sure, no problem,” Bock recalled recently about the open casting call she attended with the magazine more than a decade ago. “[Day and I] just talked. I just talked with her. I laughed with her. I liked her. I thought she was fun. I left being like, ‘Huh, I think I got that, I feel like I nailed it.’ We just hung out for an hour I felt like it was a good time. Getting that was one of the most exciting things that has happened to me.”

Below are six of our favorite photos from her SI Swimsuit feature with photographer David Burton in Easter Island, Chile, which earned her Rookie of the Year honors.
