Ellie Thumann embarked on an exciting journey to Puerto Rico for her rookie photoshoot with SI Swimsuit, where she worked with photographer Derek Kettela. The 21-year-old is widely recognized for her YouTube channel, where she shares captivating content of her life including beauty, fashion and wellness content. Thumann recently walked the runway at Miami Swim Week with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit rocking crochet swimsuits and a cowboy hat.

For Thumann, the experience with SI Swimsuit proved to be “surreal,” and she felt right at home on the set while posing for the 2023 magazine.

The photo shoot in Puerto Rico featured a captivating theme dubbed “For the Love of Denim.” Swimwear looks ranged from fully denim outfits to those inspired by the beloved blue jean motif, showcasing an array of denim shades. The SI Swimsuit team collaborated closely with designers, cleverly upcycling previously used materials to craft unique and chic looks that brought their funky vision to life.
