Camille Kostek is a household SI Swimsuit name. After co-winning the Swim Search in 2018, she landed the cover as a rookie in 2019. She’s been featured in six consecutive magazines with the brand, and Kostek never ceases to amaze.

The TV host was photographed by James Macari in the Dominican Republic for this year’s publication.

“The cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit, that photo put me on the map internationally in 2019,” Kostek recalled while on location earlier this year. “It literally changed my life. Whenever I’m feeling lost or looking for a new direction or not sure where I’m going to go next in life, that photo [is a] reminder of all the things I had to get through personally to be in a space where I could glow and be recognized.”

The 31-year-old couldn’t believe her eyes and cried happy tears when editor in chief MJ Day and the rest of the SI Swimsuit team surprised her with her cover image. Photographer Josie Clough, who captured the Connecticut native in Kangaroo Island, Australia, in 2019, made history that year along with Laretta Houston as the first women to photograph an SI Swimsuit cover image.

Below are eight of our favorite photos from Kostek’s rookie feature that landed her on the front of the 2019 issue.
