Achieng Agutu Brings Confidence and Glamour to the Miami Swim Week Runway
Achieng Agutu, a 2023 Swim Search finalist, nailed her the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show at Miami Swim Week on Friday, July 7, wearing Swimwear World and Nia Lynn.
The New York City-based content creator and model has built her platform around encouraging women to have unwavering confidence and challenge unrealistic beauty standards. Agutu, who is from Kisumu, Kenya, is a self-proclaimed “education baddie” and has her bachelor’s degree in public relations as well as a double masters in international marketing and business analytics from Hult International Business School in Cambridge, Mass.
The 26-year-old shares lifestyle, beauty, fashion and occasional comedic content with her TikTok and Instagram followers and has become a strong voice for empowering Black women to live their best lives. Agutu is also the host of The Queen’s Archives podcast.
Agutu is one of seven finalists in this year’s SI Swimsuit open casting call.

Each year, during Miami Swim Week, brands get the opportunity to display their latest summer swimwear lines. Designers and models, who are either returning to the scene, or making their exciting debuts have the chance to gain exposure on global scale.
