The pro surfer had a big 21st year, and we can’t wait to see where this one takes her.

American professional surfer Caroline Marks may have only just turned 22, but she has already accomplished enough in her sport for a lifetime.

The athlete had a big 21st year. Last September, she became the 2023 World Surf League Champion, adding the accolade to her growing list of impressive accomplishments. It was a big step for the athlete, who had finished second in the league four years prior.

It was that first notable finish that earned her a spot on the United States squad at the 2020 Tokyo Games. That year, the athlete made her Olympic debut as the youngest member of the team.

And, of course, those are only her surfing accomplishments. Beyond that, the Florida native has cultivated an impressive résumé, including a spot within the pages of the 2020 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

All of that is to say, the 22-year-old has a lot to celebrate. And she did so accordingly. Marks donned a bright bikini and a floral wrap and hit the beach to commemorate her Valentine’s Day birthday. In an Instagram post that she shared, the surfer sat on a set of steps leading down to the beach in Oahu, Hawai’i, and smiled over her shoulder for the camera.

“Woke up feeling 22 🥰,” Marks captioned the stunning pair of photos.

The surfer received a lot of love on the post—and for good reason, too. She’s an inspiration. We wish her a successful 22nd year ahead.
