We love nothing more than seeing women support other women, and Christie Brinkley did just that when she defended Dolly Parton’s honor on Wednesday.

After trolls suggested the 77-year-old “Jolene” singer “dress her age” following her NFL halftime show performance on Thanksgiving, in which she donned an ab-baring Cowboys cheerleader getup, Brinkley had a different suggestion entirely: put Parton in the next SI Swimsuit Issue.

Brinkley, 69, has appeared on three consecutive covers of the annual magazine, so she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to swimsuit model criteria. The entrepreneur and mom of three shared a gorgeous throwback image of herself alongside Parton, circa 1993, as the two grinned for the camera, their blonde locks gleaming.

“Whoever had the nerve to suggest that the one, and only Dolly Parton should dress, her age should sit down! You should know you can’t define an icon like Dolly Parton by a number!” Brinkley wrote alongside the photo. “Also immeasurable are her too numerous to count talents, her boundless good energy and effervescent humor, and her golden philanthropic heart full of love! And the fact that she can also rock a Dallas cheerleader outfit too is inspiring and fun!”

The legendary brand star ended her message with a call to action that we can’t help but get behind: “👙Maybe @si_swimsuit is next?”

“I would DIE for Dolly!!!!!!!!” SI Swimsuit editor in chief MJ Day declared in the comments, giving fans hope for a potential collaboration.

“She’s a national treasure ❤️,” someone else noted.

“She absolutely slayed in the Dallas outfit!” another fan gushed. “Love her 🤩.”
