Paige Spiranac Praises Dolly Parton’s Cowboys Cheerleader Getup

The 77-year-old country star performed during the Cowboys vs. Commanders halftime show on Thanksgiving.

When Dolly Parton took the stage for the halftime show during the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders game on Thanksgiving, jaws dropped around the world.

The 77-year-old “Jolene” singer was clad in a blue-and-white Cowboys cheerleader uniform, complete with an ab-baring tied-up top and white micro shorts—and no one was more impressed than Paige Spiranac. The 30-year-old golf instructor and media personality often speaks out on relaxing stuffy country club dress codes on the green, so Parton’s self-expression through her ensemble was right up Spiranac’s alley.

On Nov. 23, Spiranac, who appeared in the 2018 SI Swimsuit Issue after posing for James Macari in Aruba, shared a screenshot of Parton on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, with some on-brand feedback. “Dolly Parton is 77 and wearing whatever the hell she wants,” she wrote. “I love her.”

Tons of Spiranac’s 948,000 followers on the platform chimed in to the comments with similar sentiments.

“Dolly Parton is truly iconic and her ability to be herself at any age is inspiring,” one person noted. “Embracing individuality is a timeless beauty. 🌟💃.”

“Always be confident and do what is right for you,” someone else encouraged.

“Giving thanks for the confidence to wear whatever, whenever,” another user concurred. “Pass the pie!”

Spiranac often uses her platform to share her thoughts on body positivity, which includes wearing what she feels the most comfortable in, regardless of what people have to say about it.

“It’s just how I feel best,” Spiranac recently stated on Up and Adams of her penchant for athleisure. “I’ve always dressed this way. I like being sexy, that’s how I feel most confident... It’s my body, it’s my choice, I can choose what I want to wear, and this is how I feel most comfortable.”
