Emily DiDonato’s 5 Western-Inspired Bikinis Are Sensational

The six-time SI Swimsuit star traveled to Wyoming for her 2020 magazine feature.

Emily DiDonato’s SI Swimsuit features have taken the New York native everywhere from Namibia to Sacramento, Calif. The 32-year-old mom of two first posed for the annual magazine in 2013, while her most recent brand photoshoot took place in 2021.

And while each of her features have showcased just how talented DiDonato is in front of the lens, we’re always left inspired by the model and podcast host’s words, as well.

“I remember wanting to look like other people and wanting to have bodies like other people,” she previously told us of her struggles with body image. “Once I allowed myself to not funnel so much energy into wishing I looked like somebody else, I was finally able to just be happy with who I was.”

It’s a message that DiDonato continues to share on her platforms today. Just earlier this week, she used her Instagram feed to inform her 2.9 million followers that she too struggles with self-confidence. In doing so, DiDonato shared the three things she does every day to boost her confidence in an attempt to help others.

“I try to use my platforms as a place, to be honest and transparent about the struggles or things that I’ve overcome with my body, or [that] I still kind of am struggling with,” she previously stated. “The reason why I try to be honest [is because] I think people look at models and expect that we wake up every day [feeling] amazing ... So I think in general, I just try to use my platforms to be the voice that I wish I heard when I was younger.”

In honor of DiDonato’s continued transparency, we’re throwing it back to a few of our favorite pics from her 2020 photoshoot in Wyoming with Ruven Afanador.
