Kate Bock’s 5 Most Jaw-Dropping Neon Swimsuits From Costa Rica

The 10-time SI Swimsuit model traveled to Central America for the 2019 magazine.

Kate Bock is an SI Swimsuit stalwart, having made her brand debut back in 2013, when she traveled to Easter Island, Chile, to pose for her rookie feature. The Canadian model made such an impression, in fact, that she earned Rookie of the Year honors for her work with photographer David Burton.

The 35-year-old mom of one returned to the fold for a total of 10 different SI Swimsuit Issues, and she even landed the cover of the 2020 publication after a breathtaking feature in Bali. Her most recent brand photoshoot took place in Belize in ’22, where she posed in front of Yu Tsai’s lens.

That year, Bock reflected on her decade with the SI Swimsuit brand, which she noted was incredible for both her personal and professional growth.

“I’ve gotten all these opportunities to really learn and grow with Sports Illustrated,” Bock said at the time. “I started coming to shoots with mood boards. I think it helped me kind of hone in on my creativity because every year is a little bit different based on the location, the photographer or just the weather and the vibe that we have, the swimsuits. It allowed my creativity and understanding of this industry to really flourish. I think every year I become more comfortable with myself and with my body. And they also know me so much better. I’m more comfortable asking questions. I now get to use what I’ve learned in so many other projects.”
