Katrina Scott Made History With This SI Swim Photo Shoot in St. Croix

The fitness trainer posed for the annual issue two years in a row.

Katrina Scott’s experience with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit was unique and unprecedented. The fitness trainer first took to the pages of the annual issue in 2021, posing for a fabulous photo shoot that earned her Rookie of the Year honors.

It also earned her another spot on the SI Swimsuit set, where she returned the following year for a similarly fabulous, but wholly unique experience. For her second consecutive brand photo shoot, which took place in St. Croix, Scott posed while expecting, becoming the first visibly pregnant woman to be featured in the issue. 

It was perhaps not the experience that she had expected, but she was “humbled, honored, and beyond grateful” all the same, she said in an Instagram post at the time. “I can’t thank you enough for giving me strength when I felt my weakest and light when I was at my darkest. I am honored to be the first woman to represent pregnancy in the pages of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. I grew up admiring all the women in this iconic publication and to now be part of it is absolutely surreal.”

Scott had the opportunity to inspire, and she took it. “I hope when women pick up the issue this week, that they see themselves in the pages,” she wrote. “I hope all the pregnant mamas out there feel inspired to embrace those body changes and to rock their bump this summer. And finally, I just hope you feel seen, worthy, and beautiful in every chapter of life—and every chapter with your body.”

Not only was she an inspiration in her words, though, she was a total inspiration in each and every photo that she posed for that trip. Here are a few of our favorites.
