Lais Ribeiro made three consecutive SI Swimsuit Issue appearances, including her debut in 2017. She returned to the magazine again in ’21. 

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel began modeling in 2009 and has walked the runway for major brands like Carolina Herrera, Diane Von Furstenberg, Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and Michael Kors. In 2011, she had perhaps her most successful year and booked more than 50 shows during the spring/summer season.

Ribeiro is a mom to a 14-year-old autistic son, Alex, and she married former NBA player Joakim Noah last year.

“Lais has an aura of effortlessness around her that acts as a magnetic force, making it difficult to look away. She is gorgeous, and on top of that, she is an incredibly hard-working mother whose energy brings so much joy to those around her,” editor in chief MJ Day said when Ribeiro returned to the magazine in 2021 to be photographed by Anne Menke. “She uses her platform to spread awareness around autism and what it’s like to be a mother of an autistic son. If there is one thing we can do as a brand, it’s to empower individuals to speak up for what they are passionate about and Lais uses her reach and influence to do just that. Creating another outlet for Lais to share her message and celebrate her, for us, is a no brainer.”
