Mady Dewey Rocks Custom Netted One-Piece on Runway, Homage to Famous Cheryl Tiegs Fishnet Suit

Mady Dewey walked the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show at the W South Beach for Miami Swim Week on Friday, July 7, wearing a custom suit by Navy Ray and a neon green balconette bikini set from Lain Snow paired with a Solid & Striped cover-up.
As the winner of year’s Swim Search open casting call, Dewey returned to the fold as a rookie in the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue. She was photographed by Ben Watts in Puerto Rico, where the styling on set was inspired by the local surf culture of the 1970s.

The one-piece was designed as an homage to the famous fishnet one-piece that Cheryl Tiegs rocked in 1978.

SI Swimsuit’s festivities began earlier in the day with a brunch and panel discussion moderated by Nicole Williams English, a rookie in the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue. Later, cover girl Brooks Nader did a live makeup demonstration with DIBS, a cruelty-free and vegan brand, while guests enjoyed piercing activations, courtesy of Electric Picks, and complimentary scalp massages from Divi.
An annual event, Miami Swim Week showcases the latest and hottest swimwear trends from the top designers and brands worldwide. Attendees can enjoy fashion shows, open bar events, VIP gifts and more.
While Dewey has only modeled for SI Swimsuit, she’s also a tech entrepreneur. The California native is the the founder and CEO of Herd, a metrics-free social media app, and works as a product marketing manager for Discord. Dewey uses her rapidly growing platforms to encourage fellow women to chase their dreams, regardless of what they’re passionate about.
