Reneé Rapp Calls This Former SI Swim Cover Star the ‘Hottest Ever’
Earlier this week, Reneé Rapp appeared on TODAY to talk all things Mean Girls. The 24-year-old actress and musician stars as Regina George in the Tina Fey-written musical comedy, which hits theaters on Friday.
Naturally, the conversation with Savannah Guthrie included talk of Rapp’s collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, 28, as the two worked on a track, “Not My Fault,” for the film’s soundtrack.
“Meg is such a huge fan of Mean Girls, which obviously I am too, and we just started talking about [collaborating], and she was like, ‘Oh, no absolutely,’ like an immediate ‘yes,’ which was really exciting for me because I’m such a big fan of hers,” Rapp shared. “She’s like iconic. She’s also like one of the hottest people I’ve ever seen in my life.”
The “Savage” rapper landed the cover of the 2021 SI Swimsuit Issue after a stunning beachside photoshoot with James Macari in Miami. At the time, Megan noted that she manifested her cover girl moment with the brand.
“I’ve wanted to do it all my life,” she told us on set at the time of posing for SI Swimsuit. “I was the little girl looking at the cover of Sports Illustrated saying, ‘One day this is going to be me.’ And I manifested it.”
It seems that a partnership between the artists is something fans have been wishing to become a reality, too.
“Two queens coming together to maximize their joint slay,” one person commented of the partnership on YouTube.
