Retired Race Car Driver Danica Patrick Wore Her Uniform Over a Two-Piece For Her SI Swimsuit Photo Shoot
Danica Patrick certainly made her mark on the world in 2008. The two-time SI Swimsuit model landed her debut with the magazine and made history as the first woman to finish first in an IndyCar series event when she won the Japan 300. She also placed third in the Indianapolis 500, marking the best performance by a female driver in the history of the race.
Patrick officially retired from racing just shy of a decade later, but she didn’t stop breaking boundaries. The 41-year-old is the author of several books, the sole proprietor of a certified organic wine estate, Somnium, and host of the Pretty Intense podcast. She’s also a former analyst for NBC’s coverage of the Indianapolis 500 and has served as a commentator on Sky Sports F1.
Below are six of our favorite photos from her debut SI Swimsuit photo shoot with Ben Watts in Singer Island, Fla.
