Sailor Brinkley Cook first posed for the SI Swimsuit Issue in 2017, when she took part in a mother-daughter photo shoot featuring her supermodel mom, Christie Brinkley. The SI Swimsuit legend modeled for the magazine alongside both of her daughters, Brinkley Cook and Alexa Ray Joel.

The trio traveled to Turks and Caicos for the feature, where they posed for photographer Emmanuelle Hauguel. The 25-year-old entrepreneur impressed so much in the tropics that she returned to the fold as a rookie in 2018. That year, Brinkley Cook traveled to Aruba and was photographed for a special, in-studio project called “In Her Own Words.”

Today, Brinkley Cook is signed with IMG Models and is the founder and creative director of Sacred + Divine, a company that creates candles, jewelry and clothing.

“I could not be more grateful to the beautiful and strong @mj_day for including me in this years Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 😭😩❤,” Brinkley Cook wrote on Instagram in 2017. She noted that while she had struggled with body image since she was a young girl, she had recently entered a season of life in which she began truly embracing self-love. “This is more than a magazine to me and always has been. As a growing young woman SI showed me all bodies are different and all bodies are worthy of celebrating. Thank you thank you @si_swimsuit for celebrating my beautiful mama, my beautiful sister, I, and ALL WOMEN!!”
