Tanaye White was determined to secure a spot as an SI Swimsuit rookie—she applied to the Swim Search in 2018 and was named a finalist. She returned to the brand’s open casting call again two years later and was named co-winner. She made her magazine debut after being photographed by Yu Tsai in Turks and Caicos.

She returned to the fold in 2021, and was captured by Anne Menke in Sacramento, Calif. Last year, the model traveled to Barbados with Ben Watts.

The former Washington, D.C.-based senior communications analyst has been featured in campaigns for major brands, including for Victoria’s Secret, Fenty Beauty, Hervé Léger and more. Her main passion, however, is advocating for mental health and working to increase body positivity, diversity and inclusivity in the fashion and modeling industries.

“I really try to champion women, young girls, adult girls to just really own what you have, own the moment,” the Feel Good Babe founder told the magazine about the message she is working on spreading through her platform. “It’s O.K. if you don’t have a perfect life. Just embrace what you do have. There is really so much to be thankful for that we don’t even have to worry about what we don’t have.”
