Yumi Nu made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2021, then made history the following year when she became the first plus-size model of Asian descent to land the cover.

The musician, who began singing lessons when she was 12, is also an emerging fashion entrepreneur and founder of plus-size clothing brand Blueki.

“I hope when young girls see my images, they see someone who can be confident at any size,” the 26-year-old said while on location in Dominica for her 2023 magazine appearance. “You don’t have to [fit] a specific beauty standard to be happy or wear little bikinis. Anything is possible.”

Below are seven of our favorite photos from Nu’s 2023 photoshoot with Amanda Pratt.
