Dua Lipa Paints Hollywood Red in Stunning Satin Corset Gown
Dua Lipa certainly looked like a powerful woman at the Variety Power of Women LA event on Nov. 16. The “Dance the Night” singer stole the show in the most gorgeous red gown featuring a beautiful satin finish, waist-cinching corseted bodice, neckline bow detail and slim silhouette. She attended the Southern California event in the color of the season that so perfectly complemented her strawberry locks, which were styled in smooth loose waves.
The 28-year-old accessorized the glamorous Vivienne Westwood dress with a black clutch (also from the luxury fashion label), statement rings and silver dangly diamond earrings. She opted for a fresh and simple glam look, including rosy blush, feathered brows, a minimal glowy base, wispy lashes and a glossy pinky-nude lip.
Lipa presented the night’s Producer of the Year Award to Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment, the 2014-founded production house behind Barbie—which the two women starred in together—and 2023 psychological thriller Saltburn, starring Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi.
The London-born artist, who is of Albanian descent, is somewhat of a fashionista herself. She consistently drops jaws with her showstopping red carpet looks and slew of stunning Instagram bikini pics. And earlier this year, Lipa designed a “La Vacanza” line of colorful, crystal-embellished and Y2K-inspired clothes, shoes and accessories with Versace. She described the high-end, elevated pieces as ones that make her feel “comfortable and sassy.”
“I feel like now I know the Versace history inside out, and I feel very lucky that I had the opportunity to dive into all that,” she told British Vogue. “I started making little sketches… I’d send them to Donatella [Versace] and be like, what do you think? And I really can’t draw at all! But we have such a common language… we were able to bounce ideas [off each other]. The butterfly is something we connected on very early on. It’s fun, it’s flirty.”
