Padma Lakshmi traveled to Dominica to pose for Yu Tsai for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue, and did the photos ever deliver. 

At 52, the best-selling author and Taste the Nation star admitted that posing for the magazine in her 50s is a much “sweeter” experience than it would’ve been in her 20s.

“I love where I am in my life and know my body is not perfect by any means, but I feel beautiful. I feel like I have a very lucky, fruitful, productive life,” she added. “My thighs may have been leaner, and my boobs were probably slightly higher in earlier parts of my life, but I have never felt better about myself. I hope [people] see a full woman in all my facets and nuances and some contradictions. I wouldn’t go back to my 20s if you paid me all the money in the world.”

While Lakshmi wore a number of incredible looks on location in the Caribbean, we adore the Initial S Paris tangerine two-piece she rocked for the camera. The bright orange color is flattering on a variety of skin tones, and is a particularly great hue to show off a sun-kissed glow in the summer.
