Brazilian model Anne de Paula made her SI Swimsuit debut after winning the Model Search in 2017. That year, she posed for an iconic body paint series with Josie Clough. She returned to the magazine in ’18 after traveling to Nevis, and in 2019, she was photographed in Kenya. In 2020, the same year the Rio de Janeiro native and NBA All-Star Joel Embiid welcomed their first son together, she was captured in the Dominican Republic.

The 28-year-old signed with her first modeling agency more than a decade ago.

“At 14, I was already modeling, and a year in the business I didn’t know much of what was to come. If I could tell myself something, it would be: ‘Keep going; don’t give up,’” she revealed as advice she’d give her teenage self. “Many times I have received ’no’ and have doubted moving out of my country and taking this chance. I am glad I kept going, but back then I could have used a friend to help motivate me and give me courage.”
