Spring is officially here, and that means baseball season is upon us. Today is MLB’s Opening Day, and in order to create some excitement for the season to come, we’re throwing it back to years past.

Baseball is America’s national pastime, and SI Swimsuit models are always game to get involved. Below are 14 of the franchise’s models who have thrown out a first pitch at a major or minor league baseball game. Play ball!

Brooks Nader and Cindy Kimberly

The soon-to-be five-time SI Swimsuit model and ’22 rookie showed off their athletic skills last May when the two threw out the first pitch at Citi Field.

The Mets hosted the Cardinals and came out victorious with a final score of 11–4. The highlight, however, was Nader and Kimberly taking taking the pitcher’s mound.

In 2019, Nader also threw out the first pitch at Marlins Park in Miami as the Marlins hosted the Mets.

Lily Aldridge, Hannah Davis, Hannah Ferguson, Gigi Hadid, Chanel Iman, Ariel Meredith, Jessica Perez and Adaora

In 2014, this group of SI Swimsuit models threw out the first pitch at a Brooklyn Cyclones game at MCU Park (now Maimonides Park). While the Cyclones are a minor league team, we couldn’t resist including this one in the roundup.

Chrissy Teigen

The same year, the magazine’s 50th Anniversary cover model threw out the first pitch at a Dodgers game. After tossing the ball over the plate, Teigen ran into catcher Drew Butera’s arms.

Erin Heatherton

The two-time SI Swimsuit model was featured in back-to-back issues in 2015 and ’16. Four years before her debut with the franchise, Heatherton threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field as the Cubs hosted the Mets.

She took the role seriously and warmed up before taking the pitcher’s mound.

Marisa Miller

A brand veteran, Miller appeared in seven consecutive SI Swimsuit Issues between 2002 and ’08. She returned to the magazine again in 2014.

Miller threw out the first pitch at a game between the Giants and Dodgers in 2010.

Kathy Ireland

The SI Swimsuit legend threw out the first pitch at Dodger Stadium in 2009 when the home team hosted the Rockies.
