5 Beautiful Photos of Dominique Piek From Her Idyllic Trip to the Maldives

The South Asian country was a dream location for the one-time SI Swimsuit model.

Dominique Piek was photographed by Walter Iooss Jr. in the Maldives.

When Dominique Piek traveled to the Maldives for the first time in 2010 with SI Swimsuit, she was fulfilling a lifelong dream—a trip to the South Asian country. “I’ve always wanted to come here,” she remarked while on set.

While there, she had the opportunity to stay in one of the “breathtaking” villas right on the water. “It’s one of the, if not the, most beautiful places I’ve ever seen in my life,” she gushed of the location.

The model certainly lived up to the beauty of her surroundings too, posing in the water and on the sand in a variety of neon bikinis, which were fitting for the tropical location. But not only did the location fulfill a dream, the photoshoot itself was about as good as Piek could have hoped for. “We couldn’t do a better shoot than this,” she said. “It’s supposed to be fun and natural, and it’s just amazing.”

These days, the 38-year-old continues to model, building on a successful career that brought her to the covers of GQ and Cosmopolitan, even prior to her rookie feature with SI Swimsuit in 2010. And since that year in the Maldives, she has also become a mother to a young daughter.

Her trip to the Maldives really was as idyllic as Piek painted it. Here are five of our favorite photos from her SI Swimsuit feature in the South Asian country.
