You might know Australian Georgina Burke from her impressive modeling résumé, or from her 2023 SI Swimsuit feature. But she first got her start with the brand the year prior, making her debut with photographer Ben Watts in Barbados.

Last year’s magazine feature came as somewhat of a surprise to the model. While on a trip to Montana, her agent called her and she “declined the call,” not anticipating the news that she was about to get. Though it was “so last minute,” Burke didn’t think twice about accepting the offer to pose for the SI Swimsuit Issue. “It’s an opportunity that I’ve always wanted,” she said on set.

Burke hadn’t always felt prepared for the call up, but when she got the news this time, she was. “I am so grateful, I am so excited,” she said of the opportunity.

And her preparation was clear, too. The series of photos taken by Watts in the Caribbean island nation more than lived up to our expectations—and we hope the same is true for Burke. She absolutely stunned, bringing her best energy and earning a spot in this year’s issue, as well.

Now through Nov. 1, 100% of SI Swimsuit’s portion of proceeds from cover prints purchased here will be donated to the Maui Strong Fund, which is helping to support the people and places of Maui affected by the recent wildfires.
