My marriage to Christie Brinkley

Men have been dreaming of marrying Christie Brinkley since the world-famous model's first SI Swimsuit appearance 1975 but few can speak first-hand about the experience. In an interview with the Huffington Post, actor Jim O'Heir - better known as Jerry on Parks and Recreation - opened up about his on-screen marriage to Brinkley:

They told me, "We're going to go for a Christie Brinkley-type." Then I heard through the rumor mill that they actually called Christie Brinkley and it turned out her daughter was a big fan of the show. Christie Brinkley, that's my age range of supermodels. That's on my radar. This isn't someone where I don't know who she is. She turned out to be such a bright light. She walks into a room and just lights it up. She's just that person. We have a lot of laughs.

O'Heir also revealed that the two are real-life email buddies. Just another reason Jerry secretly has a way better life than any of us.

Brinkley recently toured Africa and participated in some humanitarian activism that didn't involve marrying Jerry. The three-time SI covergirl adopted baby elephants while visiting the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya. She posted the news, along with photos, on her Facebook page:

I would like to introduce you to my new baby Kithaka! He was born on Oct 2011.. found in Imenti Forest Meru District at a week old! The wonderful heros at the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage who rescued him think he was a victim of wildlife conflict. We spotted each other across the field and he trotted right over playfully lifting his trunk to me which i immediately breathed into which makes us friends for life! He got so playful he almost knocked me over and i knew i had to adopt this playful pachyderm to help with his many expenses! They told me he's the bad boy of the group which made me laugh ( why are we always attracted to the bad boys ladies? ha! ) it will be fun keeping up with Kithaka, and I feel good knowing that I am helping make sure he always gets what he needs so he always keeps that swagger!!!! If you want to adopt heres the address www.sheldrickwildlifetrust.org once you do please tag me and hastag your photo or your baby to#stoppoachingstartadopting so we can meet all the new proud parents!
